Our Story

There is always a beginning...

Our journey began with two friends reminiscing about, and craving for, the wilderness that parts of New Zealand offer. This desire became a reality in 2007, with the somewhat crazy purchase of 220 hectares of stunning, Manuka filled, rugged native bush land in the Marlborough Sounds.

Over time Ray developed a passion for beekeeping. It was now time to combine the love of remote New Zealand wilderness and his passion for beekeeping.

This was the beginning.

and a journey

Our hives are predominantly boat access only. Weather, wind, waves and mother nature itself determine how challenging any given day is. However, the reward is our bees make honey away from human pollutants, fertilisers and pesticides and we get to enjoy some of the finest areas of New Zealand.

We think it is worth it.

Our values...

The love of bees and their importance in the world

Pure, natural, exquisite tasting Manuka honey

Giving back to the environment

Symbiotic relationships with our bees, customers, landowners, staff, community and partners
